Event Details

Eligibility
To participate in The Woodlands Golf Championship, each player by must meet a qualifying handicap for each flight. 96-Amateur player field will be comprised of two tournament flights: a Championship Flight (6 or less handicap), and Seniors Flight- 55 years old or older (10 or less handicap).

Format
The Woodlands Golf Championship will be a 36-hole stroke play tournament on The Woodlands Country Club Tournament Course and the Carlton Woods Fazio Course.

Ties for all flights will be settled after the conclusion of play by "Sudden Death" playoff on the 18th hole and will continue on the 18th until an overall winner in each category is determined.

Monday, August 12, 2012
--6:30 am: Range Opens
--7:00 am: Player Check-In at the Tournament Course Clubhouse
--8:00 am: Player Tee Times Begin
--11:30 am -1:30 pm: Lunch served at the Tournament Course Clubhouse

Tuesday, August 13, 2012
--6:30 am: Breakfast at the Fazio Course Clubhouse and Range Opens
--8:30 am: Shotgun Start
--1:30 pm or Conclusion of Play: Awards Reception and Lunch served at the Fazio Course Clubhouse

Entry Fee
The $250 entry fee includes a tournament cart, greens fees, unlimited practice balls, lunch on Monday, breakfast and lunch on Tuesday, prizes, favors, and gratuities.

Prizes
Prizes will be awarded for all Divisions.

Rules and Conditions
Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as currently defined by the United States Golf Association. Local rules, detailed tournament conditions and registration requirements will be provided prior to the start of the tournament. All players will be required to wear soft-spike or spikeless shoes. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to reject or ban an applicant or participant at any time before or after the start of tournament play. Any tournament participant engaging in unbecoming or unsportsmanlike conduct during tournament play or otherwise is subject to rejection or disqualification as well as being permanently barred from consideration for a future tournament. All play is scratch with no handicap. No rain date.

Carts
Players may use automotive transportation, which is included in the entry fee.

Attire
Players should wear proper golf attire during tournament play.
